This weekend, The Second Sunday of Advent, we read about John the Baptist's call for conversion, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
I can't help but wonder how I would respond to such a confrontation today! I like to think that I hang around good people and I'm working on my journey with the Lord. John the Baptist calls us to renewal. May we more fully receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and participate in the vision of Isaiah.
